EP Federal Credit Union Announces CEO Transition and Promotion
EP Federal Credit Union has announced a planned leadership transition, effective January 1, 2026. Ron Schneeberger, President and CEO, will retire, concluding a successful tenure leading EPFCU through meaningful operational and member-service enhancements. The Board of Directors has promoted Steve Camp to CEO and appointed Winston Godwin as COO, ensuring continuity and depth across the executive team.

“EPFCU is fortunate to have two talented and capable leaders, Steve Camp and Winston Godwin, stepping up at this time,” said Greg Boutin, Chairman of the Board at EPFCU. “Both have demonstrated the experience and leadership skills needed to guide EPFCU forward, ensuring our members can continue to count on great service and the continued safety and security of their funds.”
Steve Camp joined EPFCU in 2022 as Director of Membership Experience and was quickly promoted to Executive Vice President/COO. Camp brings almost 40 years of credit union experience, having held several leadership roles before joining EPFCU, including AVP of Branch Operations at Tower Federal Credit Union. Since coming on board, he has played a key role in enhancing member experience, strengthening operational execution, and developing frontline leadership.
Winston Godwin, a 30-year financial services veteran, joined EPFCU in 2022 as Director of Member Experience. His career includes roles at some of the nation’s largest banks and credit unions, including Bank of America, PenFed, Tower Federal Credit Union, and Capital One. Godwin will lead day-to-day operations with a focus on service quality, process optimization, and digital/member experience.
The Board expressed its gratitude to Ron Schneeberger for his leadership and commitment to EPFCU’s mission. Schneeberger, who previously held leadership roles at NIH FCU, Navy FCU, and State Department FCU, guided EPFCU with a member-first focus and strengthened the organization’s executive bench to support a smooth succession.
