Key Events
YP Summit
The YPN’s annual two-day conference is designed specifically for young professionals by young professionals. Each fall, attendees from across the region gather to network, share insights, and hear from industry leaders on topics like leadership, professional development, and career growth.
Rock the Annual Convention
Inspired by the Cooperative Trust’s “Crash” program, Rock the Annual Convention is an initiative to provide scholarships to members of the YPN to attend the Association’s CONNECT conference as Rockers. In addition to attending the conference, Rockers participate in YP-specific programming before, during and after the event. Rock the Annual Convention is proudly supported by the Credit Union Chapters of the MD|DC Credit Union Association.
Bi-Monthly Virtual Meetings
The YPN hosts virtual professional development meetings every other month to provide interactive education on topics that prepare young professionals for growth.
Emerging Leader Award
The award honors the legacy of Miriam Rivera Lieb who was a passionate advocate and leader in the credit union movement who was also a mentor, helping encourage and cultivate the talents of many current credit union leaders earlier in their careers. The award recognizes a YPN member who shares Lieb’s dedication to the core principles of credit unions and demonstrates the potential to be a leader. The winner receives a professional development package sponsored by TruStage.
