Andrews Federal Credit Union recently gave a surprise $10,000 donation to Learn DC Public Charter School located on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling.

The credit union received the funds as part of the 2024 PSCU Give Back Sweepstakes. Andrews Federal was one of ten credit unions across the nation to receive a $10,000 donation to be used to support local communities.

Andrews Federal donated the funds to Learn DC Public Charter School as a continuation of the credit union’s commitment to supporting education and providing resources for military families. According to credit union leadership, this donation underscores the value Andrews Federal places on education. “Through education, we are able to build stronger workforces and better communities,” said Andrews Federal Chief Operating Officer Damita Robinson. “When we support schools and students, we give them the tools to improve themselves and to make their communities and their world better. Whether we are funding classroom updates or giving scholarships, we are proud to commit our resources to education in our military and civilian communities.”

In addition to this $10,000 contribution, Andrews Federal has actively supported education on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling by creating and stocking a sidewalk library system to enhance literacy options for students. The credit union also commits resources to education through its annual scholarship program, which provides thousands of dollars in annual funds for students.
