Transportation FCU CEO Featured in CU Management Magazine

Transportation FCU President/CEO, MJ Neusaenger, was recently profiled in CU Management Magazine where she described how she started in the credit union industry and what has fueled her career trajectory.

In the article, Neusaenger shares how she began her career in finance at a bank in California, serving as a member services representative for four years. After relocating to Florida she applied for a job as a teller at a credit union despite not knowing much about credit unions. A few months later, an opportunity arose in the accounting department of the credit union—Neusaenger’s “ultimate career goal,” as she describes it. She eagerly seized the chance and has worked in accounting and finance ever since.

Throughout her professional journey, she has consistently risen through the ranks, gaining valuable experience at various Florida credit unions. Each step brought new challenges, accompanied by promotions and greater responsibilities. Along this path, she attained a Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Central Florida in 1999, followed by an MBA from Webster University, Orlando, in 2018.

“You shouldn’t be afraid to make a change, even when everything isn’t completely planned out,” Neusaenger shared, adding that joining Transportation FCU meant leaving friends she had known for more than 30 years and family behind. “Everything in life happens for a reason. I entered the credit union industry and have been loving it ever since.”
