Happy Retirement to Nick Prevas!

Baltimore County Employees Federal Credit Union has announced that its Vice President of Marketing, Nicholas M. Prevas, will retire on Friday, July 10, 2020, marking the end of his notable 33-year career at the Credit Union.

Baltimore Co Employees FCU Best WebsiteNick oversaw all the advertising, printed brochures, website development, and e-mail communications to members, as well as public relations and special events. He began his employment on July 13, 1987, after receiving his MBA from the University of Baltimore. Nick thoroughly enjoys writing and often expressed his appreciation for having a fulfilling job that allowed him to utilize his creativity and writing skills. 

During his tenure, the Credit Union received many recognition awards, including “Best Website” and “Best Newsletter” from the Maryland & DC Credit Union Association. As the Credit Union grew its field of membership, so did the role of marketing. Over the years, Nick saw his “one-person” department expand to include a Marketing Specialist in 2007, a Business Development Representative in 2017, and a Marketing Research Analyst in 2019. He was a team player who coordinated many activities for the Credit Union and his talents will be greatly missed.

In his retirement, Nick plans to complete decades of genealogical research of his family history to pass onto future generations. In his volunteer role as Parish Historian of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Nick enjoys preparing historical displays for various events and has published three books about Baltimore’s Greek immigrants and the church community. One day, he hopes to travel to Greece and visit the places of his family’s origin.  We wish Nick Prevas much health and happiness as he begins his retirement years!
