We currently have the following position available located at our Corporate Office, One South Street, Baltimore, MD 21202:

Position Summary:

MECU is searching for a well-rounded Facilities Management professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Facility Operations, Design, and Construction. The individual should be well versed in all facets of facilities management to include building operations and maintenance, interior construction, space planning, and design, facility services, custodial operations, health and life safety, real estate, lease management, and contract administration.

The qualified candidate will need to have a working knowledge of International Building Codes and Maryland Building Performance Standards; be familiar with building and construction trades: HVAC / electrical/mechanical / plumbing/ carpentry; able to read and understand construction documents, floorplans, and technical drawings.

Essential Functions:

*   Assist in the overall planning, development, and administration of assigned facilities management programs and projects.

*   Manage or assist in the preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts and agreements for facility-related services (e.g. construction, janitorial, HVAC, records management, copier, shredding)

*   Administer or assist with new branch construction, remodeling, and/or maintenance projects.

*   Work closely with MECU’s architectural, space planning, and furniture vendors on new construction and remodeling projects.

*   Manage and oversee contractors performing maintenance work and facility services at MECU’s corporate office and branch locations. Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met, performance is monitored and work is inspected for completeness.

*   Develop and update policies, procedures, and processes for Facilities Management programs and operations.

*   Assist with annual Facilities Management operating and capital budget.

*   Assist with administration and management of real estate lease agreements.

*   Provide response and coordination of resolution for specific facilities related request.

*   Perform regular health, safety, custodial and maintenance inspections of MECU leased and owned properties.

*   Respond to building-related emergencies and issues at branch locations and the corporate office

*   Establish solid working relationships, build rapport, and trust with all MECU staff and vendors.

While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate must be capable of sitting and standing for long periods; freely bending, kneeling. Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree Construction / Real Estate / Facilities Management / Business Required

Master’s Degree Construction / Real Estate / Facilities Management / Business Preferred

Minimum of 10 years in Facilities Management / Construction / Real Estate / Business Required

Additional Experience Information

*   Working knowledge of International Building Codes and Maryland Building Performance Standards

*   Familiarity with building and construction trades: HVAC / electrical/mechanical / plumbing/ carpentry

*   Able to read and understand construction documents, floorplans, and technical drawings.
