Nominations will be accepted through March 19, 2018 for the Emerging Leader Award, which honors the legacy of credit union leader and advocate Miriam Rivera Lieb. “Mimi” as she was known, served credit unions for more than three decades before retiring in 2007 after 24 years as CEO of Transportation Federal Credit Union. She believed that credit unions should reflect the core principles of the movement -- people helping people, and she embodied those principals in her service to the movement and as a mentor to other credit union leaders. The Emerging Leader Award recognizes a next generation credit union leader who shares Mimi’s dedication to making a difference in peoples’ lives, and has demonstrated the potential to be a leader.
