APGFCU’s Shred-It Day Helps Members Go Green
APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) hosted a free Shred-It Day at its Aberdeen, Laurel Bush, Edgewood & North East branches on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Attracting nearly 440 members, the event shredded and recycled 9,878 pounds of paper, the equivalent of saving 84 trees and 15 cubic yards of landfill space.
The annual event is designed to provide a trusted means for APGFCU members to dispose of sensitive information while recycling paper. This is the second Shred-It Day APGFCU hosted in 2014 and the 6th year for the biannual event.
