On Saturday, April 27, 2013, Signal Financial FCU wrapped up Credit Union Youth Week with the first official “Dollar Dog Day” which introduced a new children’s savings club mascot, Dollar Dog. The Dollar Dog Day event was held at Signal’s Kensington branch office, and featured pictures with the big dog himself along with face painting, a prize wheel and refreshments.
The event marked Dollar Dog’s debut as the official club mascot, and supports Signal Financial’s efforts to continue its Generation Y marketing in the Kensington/Wheaton community and throughout the membership at large. The Dollar Dog program is licensed by Marketing Partners Inc., of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania as part of their generational marketing track, which also includes the teen club
Cha-Ching as well as the Edge for ages 19–24. All programs are offered by Signal Financial.
Signal Financial will be including Dollar Dog in upcoming community events, including the GreenWheaton Shred Day which was held on May 4, 2013.
