Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown (D) will become the first Democrat to officially jump into the 2014 race to succeed term-limited Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) at a May 10 event in Largo. The campaign launch will take place at Prince George’s Community College, and, according to an email provided by the Brown campaign, will feature family-friendly entertainment, bands, and free food. Following the announcement event in Largo, Brown will embark on a weekend tour of the state that will take him to a pancake breakfast in Frederick, a stop at a farmers’ market in Silver Spring, and an event at Baltimore school.
