Fifty-three Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) from Calvert High School had the privilege of representing the state of Maryland in the recent 2013 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii. Educational Systems FCU was honored to present Calvert High School with a donation to help defray some of the expenses of the trip.
Accompanied by eighteen parents and three school administrative chaperones, the cadets had the opportunity to place a giant wreath on the USS Arizona Memorial and to meet two WW II survivors. According to Commander D.M. Kletter, "This was an event that these students will remember most from their years in high school!"
“We are proud to support education and the NJROTC program at Calvert High School," commented Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. “We want to congratulate the students for representing the state of Maryland."
For nearly 60 years, Educational Systems FCU has been serving the education community. For us, it’s an honor to serve the Maryland education community including seven school systems and three community colleges throughout Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, Prince George’s, St. Mary’s and Talbot counties.
