Prince George’s Public School Teacher Awards $1,000 Winnings to Central High School

Wed, Jan 8, 2014

Greenbelt, Maryland

Educational Systems Federal Credit Union presented Mercy Molina, a science teacher at Central High School, with a $1,000 “Tips & Tools for Back to School” grand prize check. Mercy's tip was chosen from the many weekly submissions to the pre-school year campaign to win the grand prize for the school of her choice.

The Credit Union's promotion began before the start of the 2013-2014 school year. Members of the education community were asked to share their favorite tips and tools for back to school through the Credit Union’s Facebook page. Throughout the six-week campaign, tips submitted by the education community were posted to the Facebook timeline to help students, parents, teachers and support staff have a successful school year.

"It's an honor to support education," said Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. "We are excited to present this award to Central High School and Mercy Molina for suggesting ways to have a successful new school year."

In attendance at the check presentation were Mercy Molina, Prince George's County Public Schools CEO Dr. Kevin Maxwell, Central High School Principal Charoscar Coleman, and Educational Systems FCU President/CEO Chris Conway.
