A team from Securityplus joined 1,545 other walkers on Saturday, October 5th at the ADA’s annual ‘Step Out’ 5K walk to show their support for the 26 million people in the United States with Diabetes.
The Securityplus team began their fundraising efforts in early summer with a goal of $1,500. Out-of-the-box fundraising efforts allowed the team to easily exceed their goal, raising over $5,000 for the worthy cause.
Aside from selling ADA handprints and ‘A positive difference’ bracelets at each Credit Union location, the team organized weekly visits by some of Baltimore’s most sought after food trucks during lunch hours at the Securityplus Corporate Offices. Each truck gave a portion of their proceeds to benefit the Securityplus ‘Step Out’ team.
Brett Noll, Securityplus CEO, stated, “I couldn’t be more proud of our team for their hard work in securing contributions and the creative spirit in which they raised funds. A giant thank you goes out to our members for supporting the effort at the branches.”
