Don’t Tax My Credit Union efforts have delivered a strong message to Capitol Hill

Mon, Oct 14, 2013

Washington, District Of Columbia

MD|DC CUA and CUNA have been working tirelessly to convince Congress of the importance of retaining credit unions’ exemption from the federal income tax, should any tax reform package be debated.  While our advocacy efforts have been strong, the most important tool in ensuring that credit unions prevail in this debate is a strong and united message from credit union members across the country.  Because of this, MD|DC CUA would like to thank the following credit unions that have had over 150 contacts made by their members/staff since this campaign kicked off back in late-May.  Without their immense support we would not have had such a successful campaign to date that has delivered over 14,000 contacts to Maryland and D.C. Congressional offices and almost 1 million contacts nationally.

Special Thanks to:

Furthermore, MD|DC CUA would like to thank all of our members for their strong support in this effort.  With your continued help, we believe that we can get the MD/DC Congressional Delegation to support maintaining the credit union tax exemption.  To share your support for the Don’t Tax My Credit Union campaign with your Congressional representatives, please visit:
