Andrews Federal Credit Union joined with other organizations to sponsor the 2017 SHAPE Anti-Drug and Alcohol Campaign.
This is the fifth year that Andrews Federal has partnered with the SHAPE Provost Marshall’s Office to sponsor the event. The goal of the campaign is to have Middle and High School students put together a poster showing the dangers of abuse or overdose of drugs and alcohol. The posters can either be hand drawn or digitally created, and are then entered into either category.
Each year, the competition gets fiercer and the ingenuity just pours out in the many different designs and drawings that are submitted. This year, 133 entries were received for both categories.
“The creativity and talent that these kids possess just amazes me,” said Joshua Barrett, Chievres Branch Manager. “I am glad that Andrews Federal can be a part of this event and show the children of our community that we are dedicated to such an important campaign.”
