Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, management and staff would like to congratulate both winners of this year’s Stallings and Prestandrea Scholarship. Members, Jaxon Hyppolite and Aimee Beardmore each will receive $1,000 towards their pursuit of higher education.
Mr. Hyppolite plans on pursuing a degree in Mathematics at the University of Maryland this fall. Ms. Beardmore currently attends the College of Southern Maryland and is majoring in Biological Sciences.
The Stallings and Prestandrea scholarship highlights the dedication of two Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union pioneers, Virginia Stallings and Cindy Prestandrea.
“Each year our scholarship program keeps getting bigger and better. We are proud of all the applicants and would like to congratulate the top candidates this year. The mission of this program is to help our young members succeed and meet their educational goals,” stated Robert Schroeder, Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union President & CEO. This year’s essay asked applicants to outline community service involvement that best represents the credit union’s philosophy of “people helping people”.
