The CO-OP Miracle Match program enables you to do just that!
When you are granted a Miracle Match from CO-OP Financial Services, the money you raise from a CU4Kids fundraiser is matched, doubling your power to save the lives of hospitalized children within your community. It's a great opportunity to express your community spirit as well as to build stronger ties with your members by staging fundraisers which encourage their participation – all while supporting your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Launched in 2008, CO-OP's Miracle Match Program is a $1 million philanthropic matching program that encourages credit unions, chapters and leagues to create and participate in local CMNH fundraisers. Matching funds go to the approved credit union’s local Children's Miracle Network Hospital – in the credit union’s name - benefiting sick children in the local community.
In 2016, more than 200 credit unions, chapters and leagues received matches for 230 events which raised $3.8 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, $1 million of which was matching funds provided through the CO-OP Miracle Match program. The donations were distributed to 67 different children’s hospitals in 45 states. Details and the online application are available at https://www.co-opfs.org/CO-OP-Purpose/Miracle-Match.
Miracle Match is open to all U.S. credit unions, chapters and leagues. Since program funds are limited, preference is given to credit unions that are members of CO-OP and to chapters and leagues that have one or more CO-OP member credit unions.
Applications should ideally be submitted to CO-OP before the date of your event and no later than Sept. 30. Credit unions are encouraged to submit an application as early as possible to ensure there are enough funds available. to match the event.
