Retailers Launch Ad Campaign Urging House to Reject Durbin Repeal

Mon, May 15, 2017

The National Retail Federation has launched an advertising campaign calling on the House to reject efforts to repeal debit card swipe fee reform—otherwise known as the Durbin Amendment—that the group said that has saved retailers and their customers more than $40 billion and brought badly needed competition to the payments market.

The repeal is part of the Financial CHOICE Act that has passed out of the House Financial Services committee and will now go to a House floor vote.
