The Association held its annual advocacy luncheon last week during CUNA’s GAC. Nearly 40 credit union leaders had the opportunity to hear from acting NCUA Board Chairman J. Mark McWatters. He indicated that credit unions can anticipate a “thoughtful loosening” of regulations, a streamlined agency budget, and the possible closure of the Temporary Corporate Credit Union Stabilization Fund in 2017.
Former NCUA Chairman Michael Fryzel and McWatters’ Chief of Staff Sarah Vega also attended.
