A record 5,000 attendees are in the District for CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference, which started Sunday and runs through Thursday.
The parade of flags kicked off the General Session this morning. GAC Crasher Tiffanie Montgomery from Educational Systems FCU carried the Maryland flag, while Anthony Russell, our District Crasher from Hoya FCU carried the District of Columbia flag.
The Exhibit Hall Grand Opening was on Sunday and featured more than 1,000 representatives from more than 200 companies showcasing their products and services.
The Association will be hosting its Advocacy Luncheon on Tuesday, February 28 at noon at Bobby Van’s Grill. The featured speaker is Acting NCUA Chair Mark McWatters. On Wednesday, March 1, the Association is holding its annual Hike the Hill event, where credit unions have the opportunity to meet with their representatives and staff on Capitol Hill. You do not have to be registered for GAC to particpate in the luncheon or Hike the Hill.
