Baltimore Chapter Meeting Provides Tips & Tools for Success in 2017

The MD|DC Credit Union Association’s Baltimore Chapter kicked off the New Year with guest speaker, Tim Scholze from Pinnacle Sales Training sharing insights on how to accomplish more and be your most productive self in 2017. Nearly 50 people, representing Baltimore Area credit unions, association staff and strategic partners attended.

Scholze shared tips and tricks on keeping your New Year’s resolutions and reaching your goals for 2017. He recommended establishing SMART Goals, which are goals that are specific, measurable, actionable, reward based and time based, as well as, START goals, which are goals that have noticeable signals when milestones are reached, a set timeframe, accountability, require resources, and have a toast or celebration planned when the goal is achieved. Establishing SMART and START goals help define the steps necessary toward achieving success and meeting the expectations that you’ve set for yourself.

Scholze also shared time management tips including: turning off your phone to avoid distractions, turning off e-mail alerts to allow for better concentration and focus, and also creating a list of “3 must do items” and focusing on making sure those items are accomplished.

Attendees were encouraged to utilize workbooks to outline a specific resolution they had set for themselves and set SMART and START goals to help accomplish that resolution.
