Congratulations to Charlie Mallon, who has served on the Association's Board of Directors, on his new position. The ABNB Federal Credit Union (Chesapeake, VA) Board of Directors announced the selection of Mallon as the organization’s next President/Chief Executive Officer. In keeping with their “Open, Honest, Hardworking” motto, the organization boasts that it has helped members save more than $40 million since 2011 by refinancing high interest rate loans. The selection of Mr. Mallon, a proven credit union executive, demonstrates the Board’s continued commitment to engage a management team dedicated to providing exceptional financial products and service to the ABNB FCU membership. “Mr. Mallon has proven to be a CEO who embodies the credit union philosophy of people helping people. And the ABNB Board looks forward to his leadership and serving the Southeastern Hampton Roads and Currituck County, NC, communities”, according to Mrs. Melchers, Chairman ABNB Board.
Charlie Mallon has dedicated more than 26 years serving the members of Wright Patman Congressional Federal Credit Union. Beginning his career at the credit union as a Member Service Representative; Mr. Mallon assumed the position of President and CEO in 2007. Mallon was also a board member for the MD|DC Credit Union Association, helping to guide the organization over the last several years. Through his leadership at Congressional FCU, Charlie spearheaded the contemporary transformation of the credit union’s service and solutions culture.
