CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference is now less than a month away. Thousands of credit union advocates will be in DC February 27 - March 2 to fight for fairer legislation, regulation and policies for credit unions.
They will be joined by 50 young, credit union professionals who have been chosen to Crash the GAC. Representing Maryland is Tiffanie Montgomery from Educational Systems FCU and representing the District of Columbia is Anthony Russell from Hoya FCU. Congratulations to this year's Crashers!
On March 1, the Association will also be hosting a Hike the Hill event which gives our members an opportunity to meet directly with legislators on Capitol Hill and share with them first-hand the challenges that credit unions face, and how they serve their communities. Registration for GAC is not required to participate in Hike the Hill. Those interested in participating can contact Glen Cooney via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
