Smartphones Can Increase Risks under Fair Labor Standards Act

The traditional workday is expanding as employees are increasingly expected to use smartphone and remote access technologies to stay connected to their job and perform work at night, on weekends, and even while on vacation.  This connectivity is extraordinary; however comes at additional risk.  The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to pay covered, non-exempt employees for this work.  Read full RISK ALERT HERE.
