On January 15th, Securityplus CEO Brett Noll, and several members of the Credit Union management team, attended the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) 30th Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Observance.
During the event, Mr. Noll and Dr. Reggie Wells, Deputy Commissioner for Human Resources, SSA, presented Rachel Brunson, Principal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary/Middle School, with a check for $700.
At the event Noll remarked, “Dr. King once said philanthropy is commendable, but it must not cause the philanthropist to overlook the circumstances of economic injustice which make philanthropy necessary.” Noll added, “If that doesn't humble a guy about to get his picture taken with a five-foot long check, I don't know what will.”
