Leadership in Action
A six-month program beginning January 8, 2014
Leadership in Action Program is a six-month leadership mastery program geared toward established and emerging leaders. This program, presented by Laurie Maddelena of Envision Excellence LLC, is designed to upgrade the management skills of leaders and dramatically increase their effectiveness.
Participants will meet each month for five hours over the course of the program. Topics include:
Each monthly session includes a leadership book, pre-work, demonstrations, role-plays, and homework exercises that will allow managers to practice their new skills and bring real work experiences to the sessions for feedback and learning. Accountability is built into the program to ensure the managers practice applying the skills and incorporate them into their existing management style. These modules will be very interactive and engaging, and allow participants to receive individual coaching during the process.
About Envision Excellence and Laurie Maddalena: Envision Excellence, LLC is a professional executive coaching and organizational development consulting firm founded by Laurie Maddalena, a former executive of a $450 million credit union. Laurie created Envision Excellence to provide organizations with solutions and support in achieving greater success for their individuals and the global organization. Laurie’s passion lies in assisting the development of good organizations into exceptional organizations.
Prior to establishing her own coaching and consulting business, Laurie served as Vice President of Human Resources/Organizational Development at Montgomery County Teachers Federal Credit Union (MCT) where she transformed the human resources function into a department that added value and impact to the organization. While in this role, she assisted in orchestrating and implementing a major organizational alignment effort that increased the effectiveness of the organization and reduced costs. She also developed numerous learning and development plans and workshops to enhance and upgrade the leadership skills of the management team. Under Laurie’s leadership, MCT was awarded the “Excellent Place to Work” designation by the Maryland Work~Life Alliance for seven years in a row.

Participants will learn important habits of successful leaders and destructive habits that hold leaders back. We will check-in on progress, re-enforce commitments and set goals for creating sustainable leadership habits and skills, and discuss tips for keeping the momentum going.
