Keith Scott, CEO of "TALLspeaking" and the current CEO of the Baltimore Chamber of Commerce, will be preseting on how to:
As president and CEO of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, Keith Scott works with more than 700 member companies and a 50-member Board of Directors to promote, grow and sustain a diverse and healthy business community that will enrich the quality of life and enhance prosperity in the Baltimore region.
Keith is also president of the Small Business Resource Center, where he works with its two business counselors to aid clients in establishing or growing their businesses in Baltimore County. Being the watchdog for business is Keith’s major responsibility, as the Chief Lobbyist for the Chamber – he has to work with various elected officials to make sure that the voice of business is heard in the hallways of Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Keith is also on the faculty at the Community College of Baltimore County where he teachers “Fundamentals of Communication/Public Speaking. Meanwhile, he will be teaching this summer at Towson University BUSX 460 Professional Experience. His experience in Teaching motivated Keith to start TALLspeaking – Public Speaking made easy. Recognizing the fear that so many people have regarding Public Speaking he started a company “TALLspeaking” that works with individuals and companies to assist in creating better communication.
Keith grew up in Howard County and received his bachelor degree in political science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is currently finishing his MBA from Frostburg State University. He spent several years obtaining his undergraduate at the University of Maryland, Augsburg Campus in Augsburg, Germany.
Outside the Chamber, Keith is the Baltimore County Chair of the United Way of Central Maryland’s Board of Directors and a board member on the Regional Manufactures Institute. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Development Program at the Baltimore Jewish Council and Leadership Baltimore County. Keith lives in Pikesville, is married to Allison Ginsburg a Dolphin Trainer, and has two young children who both happen to be redheads.
