Kyle Swisher, Executive Director of the Credit Union Foundation of Maryland and the District of Columbia will be presenting valuable information for credit unions on the following programs:

  • Starting a financial literacy program in their local schools
  • Accessing training grants
  • Providing free technology tools for members and communities served
  • Introduction to the Foundation’s Web-based exchange site for credit union professionals and volunteers
  • Launching a free all-inclusive $11,000 scholarship program for college-bound members
  • Adding teller-trained bilingual front line staff to strengthen your member outreach
  • Details on the Roycroft Masters advisory program for emerging credit unions

 

Additionally, all DC credit union meeting attendees will be entered in a drawing to win two tickets to the Foundation's annual "Friend-raiser" event.  The lucky attendee will win two tickets to:

Chapter meetings are a great way to network with your peers and gain valuable information on issues that impact your credit union.  Your DC Chapter Board acknowledges the financial hardship for small credit unions to attend chapter meetings and has approved special meeting pricing for credit unions under $30M in assets.  Staff and volunteers of credit unions under $30M in assets may attend the chapter meeting at no cost

 

About the Speaker:

Kyle Swisher is Executive Director of the Credit Union Foundation of Maryland and the District of Columbia.  Mr. Swisher leads the Foundation in its mission to improve lives by supporting programs that help Maryland and D.C.-based credit unions.

Mr. Swisher has successfully built and strengthened nonprofit foundations over the past three decades.  His experience includes advancement work in both the financial and healthcare sectors. 

Since joining the Credit Union Foundation Mr. Swisher has introduced several grant award-winning programs to benefit the local and national credit union movement. 

Mr. Swisher is a volunteer Director of the St. Agnes Employees Federal Credit Union, Baltimore, MD, where he has served as Vice-Chair and held the positions of Credit Committee and Marketing Committee Chairs. 

Mr. Swisher holds a graduate degree from the Kogod School of Business at the American University, Washington D.C.
