· Work a minimum of 40hrs/week, with some Saturday hours (8:30 am – 1:30 pm)

Process consumer loan applications (including Home Equity Loans) that are originated by in person, by phone, by fax, by email, etc. Activities include, but are not limited to: counseling members on various loan products and taking member applications. Completes verification of income, employment, assets, down payments, debts, and property values. Ensures that all applications are complete, including preparation and issuance of required disclosures, etc.
Prepares initial underwriting of consumer applications, including but not limited to: calculations of debt and LTV ratios, reviewing credit report, etc. Provides the loan officer the necessary information to assist in the loan decisioning.
Coordinates and prepares pre-closing and closing documentation. Performs all system file maintenance and disburses funds. Scan all loan documentations.
Has the ability to approve loans within discretionary limits determined by AVP of Lending and Collections.
Perform other Lending and administrative duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Process all new membership applications, which include collecting all required documentations and maintenance the new account.
Process all requests to open retail accounts such as checking accounts, money market accounts, share certificates, IRAs, Pots of Gold, etc.
Process all requests to open business accounts such as checking accounts, money market accounts, share certificates, etc.
Provide ongoing member relationship management and servicing to include ordering checks, processing of direct deposit forms, debit card maintenance/ replacement, closing of accounts, and any other routine servicing/maintenance.
Other duties as assigned
As a Member Service Representative, you must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment (lines of members, numerous phone calls, complicated member issues, etc.) Additionally, you must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in interpreting policies and procedures. As the face of the credit union, this position requires strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills, as well as, the responsibility to project a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Additional requirements of the Member Service Representative include:
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum four years of teller or member service in a credit union or retail environment is preferred.
Requires sales excellence.
Requires strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Ability to function with minimal supervision.
Requires basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to pass a background/credit check
