Position Description: 

Are you a highly-motivated team member with a good understanding of writing SQL Code, a familiarity with Oracle and the ability to present results using different reporting tools and formats. NRL Federal Credit Union may be the place for you! We are looking for a great professional with IT experience to fill our Alexandria, VA location. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to work in high-pressure environments and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Produce reports and data extracts from the Core Processing, lending and deposit systems.

Utilize multiple report writing software solutions and tools.

Provide data analysis support to Credit Union staff.

Obtain knowledge of Credit Union data and data structures that support business processes.

Position Requirements: 

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves self motivation and the ability to interact effectively and personable with a team.

Software Skills: Toad, SQL Navigator, Oracle SQL Developer or other universal SQL development IDE. MS Access, Paradox, Open Office or other desktop database. MS Excel presentation quality spreadsheets.

NRL Federal Credit Union is an institution with about 456 million dollars in assets and about 20,000 members. We have three branch locations with around 80 employees. Our IT department has a staff of 9 IT professionals which consists of HelpDesk/Desktop Support, Network and Server Support, Reporting, IT Operations, Web Development and Application Support. We support all three locations, 80-90 users and 80 – 100 servers.
