The Mortgage Post Closer, with minimal supervision, is responsible for auditing closed loan files for secondary mortgage investor market submissions along with scanning, uploading, and shipping files to secondary market investors. Tracks shipments; clears post-closing conditions with investors to ensure the loan is purchased before rate lock expiration for insuring government loans.
Tracks final documents; delivers final documents to investors; maintains trailing documents report; processes loan payoffs in Core system upon purchase; transfers the servicing rights to investors via the Mortgage Electronic Registration System (MERS).
Ensures correct fees and charges are dispersed to appropriate general ledger accounts. Monitors issuance of FHA MIC. Submits required information to the servicer. Stay abreast of investor and regulatory requirements.
High School diploma; plus minimum of two (2) years post-closing experience or a minimum of three (3) years mortgage processing experience and good organizational skills. Must be proficient in computer applications, along with typing and filing skills.
