Accounting Manager

Position Description: 

Directs the operations of the Accounting Department. Prepares financial reports including annual plan and operating budget for review by the CFO. Ensures complete, accurate, and timely completion of financial and accounting records for the organization. Complies with all Credit Union rules and regulations, including BSA/AML.

Position Requirements: 

A Bachelor’s Degree with two to five years of similar or related experience. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary. 2 years supervisory experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills needed for talking with employees, vendors, both in person and on the telephone. Functional with spreadsheets and word processing software. Symitar and Profit Star experience highly desired. Reading, typing, talking. An ability to lift or pull up to 25 pounds (files, file cabinets, file boxes, etc.) Some travel required.
