Position Overview

The role of the IT Systems Analyst is to keep the network computing systems operating efficiently and assure that computing standards are implemented and enforced; extend IT support services to all constituencies.
– Installs, supports, and manages the hardware/software/network components of the organization.
– Responds to and develops solutions for component failures and complex technical problems in all of these areas to deliver a sound and stable computing infrastructure.
– Works with IT vendor to ensure understanding and adherence to standards for control, security, and recoverability.
– Coordinates with organization’s staff to ensure appropriate standards are implemented and maintained.
– Collaborates with IT vendor to support the following computing components: (a) PC/LAN servers and workstations, (b) WAN communications links, (c) hot-site hardware/software, and (d) office automation software; assists IT Vendor in on-site research of production problems and training of relevant staff on new procedures/software.
– Manages software upgrades to ensure compliance with standards and control procedures.
– Maintain focus for successful prioritization and achievement of short- and long-term goals.
– Ability to work and excel independently as well as part of a team.
– Possess excellent customer service skills.
– Experience in banking &/or credit union a plus.

Education & Experience

  • Five to ten years of similar or related experience
  • (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Requirements

  • Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Other Skills:
    – Experience with Windows Servers/Active Directory, Windows 10 Workstations, and software support.
    – Experience with Jack Henry PowerOn and workflow programming-
    – General Networking experience a plus
    – Experience supporting VPN
    – Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting
    – Experience with Microsoft
    – Help desk experience and the ability to provide technical and end-user
