  • Do you have experience with daily ACH activity including but not limited to: ACH edits, postings, return items, notifications of change activity, research, and government reclamations?
  • Do you have experience being responsible for daily processing of the Wire Function?

We are currently seeking an EFT Analyst candidate to join our winning team. Summarily, the EFT Analyst will be responsible for daily ACH activity including but not limited to: ACH edits, postings, return items, notifications of change activity, research, and government reclamations. Reconciling general ledger for ACH network.  Processing all ACH returns in a timely manner. Notifying members of discrepancies in ACH credit items on their account. Researching member inquiries regarding unauthorized ACH debits or credits. Contacts the originating institution for clarification of items and contact information.

Education & Experience

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education:
  • A high school education or GED.

Requirements

The duties and responsibilities of the EFT Analyst include:

  • Daily processing of the Wire Function. Processing and posting all incoming and outgoing wire requests. This includes member verification, enhanced due diligence, and system processing.
  • Verifying, approving, and balancing of the Mobile Check Deposit function
  • Maintaining membership’s IRA portfolios by processing monthly, quarterly, and annual Required Minimum Distributions, notifying members when they are required to start RMDs, maintaining the IRA out-of-balance report, completing 1099R corrections to be sent to the Internal Revenue Service and notifying members of any IRS changes to the IRA rules and regulations. Maintaining IRA automatic distribution updates on Data Safe under the IRA function. Utilizing IRA Service Center to respond to IRA inquiries in a professional manner and maintaining positive member relations.
  • Being responsible for account estate settlement issues including but not limited to deceased accounts, probate issues, trust accounts, maintenance, and disbursements of accounts upon death of account holder. Researching and notifying proper staff of ACH death notifications. Maintaining hold on deceased members accounts pending government reclamations. Processing government reclamations as required.
  • Attending training seminars by MACHA, NACHA and the Federal Reserve to ensure policies and procedures are in compliance.
  • Attending classes on estate planning and settlement. Recommending changes to improve service to the membership. Attending training sessions by BISYS to ensure compliance with IRA rules and regulations.
  • Training and keeping Lafayette staff informed of any new IRA rules & regulations, IRA fundamentals and use of IRA Service Center.
