Education & Experience

Candidates should have excellent communication skills and 3+ years of experience designing and managing network and cloud infrastructure. Ideal candidates should be proficient in Cisco and Watchguard networking and have a solid understanding of traditional network engineering (such as LAN/VLAN/WAN).

A degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required. A certification (or equivalent) in the following areas is preferred: Network+, Cisco Family (CCNA), Watchguard Family (Network Security Essentials), and/or Fortinet Family (Network Security). Candidates with experience in cybersecurity are preferred.

Requirements

Under the supervision of the Chief Information and Technology Officer, the Azure and Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the credit union’s network and cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform. This person will work closely with other members of the Information Technology team to ensure the network and cloud infrastructure are stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

 

The Azure and Network Engineer should be well-versed in network infrastructure management, including the Microsoft Azure platform. In this role, you will design and implement various network infrastructure solutions and should be familiar with Cisco phones and telephony systems. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring network performance and security. The Azure and Network Engineer will manage cloud infrastructure and storage for the credit union. Network security is a priority, and you will ensure that the network is functioning in compliance with the highest security standards, implementing any necessary protocols and procedures to protect the credit union’s data and systems.
