Securityplus FCU Volunteers Prepare Meals at Maryland Food Bank
Team members from Securityplus Federal Credit Union recently volunteered with the Maryland Food Bank, helping prepare more than 505 meals that will be distributed to students and families throughout Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County schools.
The volunteer effort reflects Securityplus Federal Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and supporting organizations that address critical needs across Maryland. Team members worked alongside Maryland Food Bank staff and fellow volunteers to prepare nutritious meals that will help combat food insecurity among local children and families.
Founded in 1979, the Maryland Food Bank is a nonprofit organization leading the movement to end hunger in Maryland. Through an extensive network of community and organizational partners, the organization supplies food to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, faith-based organizations, and other hunger-relief programs serving Marylanders in need.
“At Securityplus Federal Credit Union, we believe that strong communities are built through service and meaningful partnerships,” said Danielle Warren, Community Impact Coordinator at Securityplus Federal Credit Union. “Volunteering with the Maryland Food Bank gave our team the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of local students and families. We are proud to support an organization that is helping ensure children have access to nutritious meals and the resources they need to succeed.”
