PAHO/WHO FCU to Become Bienestar FCU Effective Sept. 1, 2026
PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union has announced that it will change its name to Bienestar Federal Credit Union, effective September 1, 2026. The new name and brand reflect the credit union’s longstanding commitment to financial wellness and the overall well-being of its members and the communities it serves.

Since 1949, the credit union has focused on helping members live healthier financial lives. What began with roots in the PAHO and global health community has grown to serve a broader membership that includes individuals from leading healthcare, education, and public service organizations across the region.
“For generations, financial wellness has been at the heart of who we are and the people we serve,” said Miguel Boluda, Jr., CEO of PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union. “Our new name honors our PAHO/WHO roots, reaffirms our mission and more clearly reflects the broader community we proudly serve today. We’re excited about this next chapter and grateful to have our members with us on this journey.”
Beginning September 1, members and the public will see the Bienestar Federal Credit Union name across the organization’s website, signage, communications, and branding materials. Existing accounts, services, and member relationships will remain unchanged, and members will continue to receive the same trusted service, products, and personalized support.
