Nancy J. Shevock, Board Chair Emeritus of Del-One Federal Credit Union, has been named Volunteer of the Year by the MD|DC Credit Union Association, recognizing her decades of leadership, service, and dedication to the credit union movement.

Shevock joined the Del-One Federal Credit Union Board of Directors in 2003 and was appointed Board Chair in 2010. During her 10-year tenure as Chair, she helped guide the credit union through significant challenges while leading a period of extraordinary growth. Under her leadership, Del-One’s membership grew from 27,000 to 72,000 members, its branch network expanded from six to 11 locations, and numerous technologies were implemented to improve and modernize the member experience.

“Nancy deserves this Volunteer of the Year award because she has given so much of herself to Del-One, its members, and the communities we serve,” said Dan McCarthy, President and CEO of Del-One Federal Credit Union. “She’s authentic, she’s not afraid to show her passion, and she has always led with the best interests of our members at heart.”

Shevock retired from the Board of Directors in 2020, but she has remained actively involved with Del-One as Board Chair Emeritus. In recognition of her extraordinary dedication, Del-One named the Corporate Board Room at its Corporate Office the Nancy J. Shevock Board Room.

“Through her decades of volunteer leadership, Nancy has contributed countless hours to help Del-One grow, serve more members, and strengthen its role in the community,” said Steve Smith, Board Chair, Del-One FCU.

In addition to her volunteer service with Del-One, Shevock serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Delaware Technical Community College and as a Trustee for the State of Delaware Pension Board, where she also serves on the Investment Committee.
