Cedar Point FCU Celebrates 80 Years with 80 Acts of Service
Cedar Point Federal Credit Union is marking its 80th anniversary in 2025 with a yearlong community initiative, 80 Acts of Service for 80 Years. Founded in 1945 to serve Navy personnel and civil servants at Patuxent River Naval Base, the credit union has since grown to support residents across Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.

Throughout 2025, Cedar Point will complete 80 volunteer and outreach projects, including food assistance, educational support, and environmental efforts. The credit union is encouraging community members to share ideas for ways it can make a positive local impact.
Cedar Point’s ongoing charitable work includes an annual Youth Scholarship program, seasonal food drives, and financial support for members facing hardship, including relief options tied to the federal government shutdown.
Beyond its anniversary campaign, Cedar Point continues to invest in Southern Maryland through a wide array of youth-focused and charitable programs. Employees also volunteer year-round at local events and nonprofits.
