Labor Credit Union recently marked its 90th Annual Meeting with a celebration of historic growth, community impact, and a bold vision for the future. The hybrid meeting was held both in-person at the César E. Chávez Memorial Auditorium in the Frances Perkins Building and online via Zoom, honoring the credit union’s enduring legacy and ambitious future.

President/CEO Thomas Domingue opened the meeting by thanking members, staff, and volunteers for their continued dedication. “Our 90th anniversary is more than a milestone — it’s a testament to the strength and resilience of the Labor CU community,” said Domingue. “As we honor our past, we remain focused on the future — with plans to expand, innovate, and deliver even greater value to our members.”

During his remarks, Domingue highlighted several key achievements:

• Membership Growth: Labor CU now serves over 8,450 members, with efforts underway to surpass 9,000.

• Financial Strength: With over $140 million in assets, Labor CU returned $1.4 million in dividends to members in 2024, already surpassing that pace in early 2025.

• Technology Enhancements: Recent innovations include real-time debit card payments and digital wallet capabilities; future upgrades will include Zelle integration and business lines of credit.

• Community Commitment: A new branch in Prince George’s County, Maryland, is on the horizon, supported by a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) grant.

The meeting also included the official election of Board members, with incumbents Annette Ivey, Briana Dolejsi, and Webster Coleman reaffirmed in their roles. Mr. Coleman now serves as Board Chairman, joined by newly appointed Vice Chairwoman Briana Dolejsi and Treasurer Gordon Boyce.

Following a brief Q&A and the presentation of door prizes to both in-person and virtual attendees, the meeting concluded with optimism and energy for Labor CU’s next chapter.
