SECU’s Toby Smith Talks Consumer Finance with Fox 5
Recently, SECU’s SVP, Chief Banking Officer, Toby Smith spoke with FOX 5 DC about handling finances in uncertain times.
When asked how consumers should respond to the current volatility in financial markets, Smith says the best advise is, “Don’t overreact, stay calm, and speak with a professional.”
He encouraged consumers to:
- Reach out to financial creditors sooner rather than later
- When it comes to budgeting… look at the source and follow a plan
- Make sure your budget is aligned with savings
- Don’t panic!
