In Montgomery County, the minimum wage will also see changes on July 1. For large employers (51 or more employees), the minimum wage will increase to $17.15 per hour, while mid-sized employers (11-50 employees) will see a rise to $15.50 per hour. The rate for small employers (10 or fewer employees) will remain at the $15 per hour rate.

The new rates in both jurisdictions are based on the change in the consumer price index in the Washington area last year, which was 2.8 percent.
