MECU Credit Union Named Diamond Awards Recipient

MECU Credit Union in Baltimore was among 168 credit unions nationwide named as winners of prestigious Diamond Awards – the Marketing & Business Development Councils annual marketing excellence competition sponsored by America’s Credit Unions.

MECU received the following recognition:

  • Category’s Best – Membership Marketing for MECU’s nine-month “We See You” brand awareness campaign
    • Messages were “We see you achieving your goals”; “We see working for a better tomorrow”; “We see you working hard, Baltimore”; “We see you striving for more”; and “We see you building a brighter future.”
    • Communication channels included The Baltimore Sun and other print and digital publications, billboards, bus wraps, broadcast, OTT, digital, and social media advertising.
  • Multifaceted – Data Core Conversion Communications Before, During, and After Technology System Upgrade
    • Communication channels included a microsite on mecu.com, a conversion booklet mailing, emails, digital banking messages, mobile push communications, social media images, branch signage, and buckslips. In addition, there was a branded intranet site for staff.

The Marketing & Business Development Council of America’s Credit Unions also announced the list of all winners for its annual Diamond Awards, recognizing the best marketing campaigns in the credit union industry from the past year. Credit unions, advertising agencies, and associations submitted a record 1,451 submissions for the prestigious awards.

Hamilton. “Having two of their projects being recognized among the best is an outstanding accomplishment. We couldn’t be prouder that their peers appreciate equally their outstanding work to reach our members and the wider Baltimore community.”

This year’s Diamond Awards marked a milestone, celebrating 30 years of excellence in credit union marketing and setting a new record with over 350 awards distributed – underscoring the exceptional quality of marketing work being produced by credit unions nationwide.
