Association Hosts Legislative Reception in Annapolis

Credit union leaders engaged with legislators and Maryland officials Tuesday night in Annapolis. It was an opportunity to share how credit unions help consumers and communities.

Credit Union leaders representing more than 25 Maryland credit unions engaged in discussions with lawmakers, state officials, and aides to Governor Wes Moore.

During the event, Commissioner of Finance Tony Salazar introduced his team and recent appointees including: Michael Sprouse, Deputy Commissioner of Depository Supervision; Bob Yeager, Assistant Commissioner for Policy; and Amy P. Hennen, Director of Legislative Response and Special Projects. Commissioner Salazar underscored the significant contributions credit unions make to their communities.

John Bratsakis, President/ CEO of the MD|DC Credit Union Association, expressed gratitude to the legislators and state officials for their presence and ongoing support, which enables credit unions to effectively serve the financial needs of their members.
