Andrews FCU Supports Military Through Airmen’s Attic Donation
At a time of year when many, including our military families, are facing extra expenses, Andrews Federal Credit Union has made a donation to help families access more resources and lighten expenses. The credit union made a monetary donation to support the Airmen’s Attic on Joint Base Andrews.
Airmen’s Attic provides free access to items to help Air Force personnel decorate their homes and provide for their families. Air Force members can “shop” at Airmen’s Attic for home furnishings, cookware, clothing, toys and more, and can take items they need free of charge. Airmen’s Attic also includes a small food pantry with free items available to those in need. The $1,500 donation from Andrews Federal will help the Airmen’s Attic team to replenish supplies and make resources available to Air Force personnel and families looking for extra resources during the holiday season.
Tanya Evans, Joint Base Andrews Branch Manager for Andrews Federal Credit Union, presented the donation check on behalf of the credit union team, and the staff will continue to volunteer their time and resources to support JBA families during the holiday season. According to Andrews Federal Chief Operating Officer Damita Robinson, supporting programs like Airmen’s Attic is just one of the many ways the credit union works daily to give back to the community. “We are focused on supporting our members and improving their quality of life,” Robinson said. “By providing military service members access to resources like Airmen’s Attic, we help free up some of their budget so they can prioritize other financial needs, take care of their families and put more of their funds toward their long-term financial goals.”
