Andrews Federal Credit Union recently promoted Linda Thompson to Director of Payment Systems.

In her new role, Thompson will continue to lead payment systems and programs for the credit union. Her responsibilities will include supporting system conversions, ACH origination, remote deposit capture enhancement and member product and service implementations. Thompson will also continue to manage and monitor domestic and international wires, person-to-person payment services and Reg. E inquiries. 

According to Andrews Federal Chief Financial Officer Todd Olszowy, Thompson has played an integral role in the credit union’s success by managing payment services and working strategically across departments to ensure safety and soundness and to support the member experience. “Linda’s leadership, teamwork, knowledge, experience and skills are exceptional and have proven to provide a significant impact on our ability to maintain the highest level of payment system integrity,” Olszowy said. 

Thompson joined Andrews Federal in 2015 in the role of Payment Systems Manager. Prior to her time at Andrews Federal, Thompson developed her credit union expertise through work at Transportation Federal Credit Union, as well as at several military-focused credit unions. 

Thompson holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Bethune-Cookman University. She is an accredited ACH professional and is currently pursuing National Check Payments (NCP) certification.
