Point Breeze Credit Union Hosting Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 18
Point Breeze Credit Union will host its annual “The Harvest” Golf Tournament to benefit the Maryland Food Bank (MFB) on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Hunt Valley Country Club in Phoenix.

“The Harvest” Golf Tournament offers an afternoon of premier golf, lively competition, and the opportunity to give back to fellow Marylanders in need. For a registration fee of $225 per golfer or $800 per foursome, attendees can enjoy a complementary lunch and dinner, prizes for top golfers, raffles, and a round of golf on one of the region’s most scenic golf courses amidst the rolling hills and picturesque valleys of Baltimore County. The tournament will feature a Captain’s Choice/Scramble format with golfer check-in and lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. and shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
The Maryland Food Bank partners with local community organizations across the state, from the western mountains to the Eastern Shore. It supports approximately 320 Network Partners that collectively provide nearly 1,200 distribution points with much-needed food for their local communities. Together, MFB’s statewide network of food assistance brings enough resources to provide more than 111,000 meals every day (over 40 million meals annually) to hungry children, seniors, veterans, and hard-working families, meeting the immediate needs of hungry Marylanders while simultaneously working to create pathways out of hunger.
“We’re grateful to Point Breeze Credit Union for their years of unwavering dedication to fighting hunger in Maryland. In times like this when high grocery costs seem to be an ever-present challenge for the vulnerable communities we serve, we appreciate local businesses that support our mission and help us make a difference in the lives of Marylanders in need,” MFB CEO & President Carmen Del Guercio said.
Thanks to the support of participating golfers and many generous community sponsors, “The Harvest” has helped Point Breeze raise a combined total of $130,000 in donations to the Maryland Food Bank since the tournament’s inaugural year in 2018—a tremendous milestone in its efforts to support MFB’s mission to feed people, strengthen communities, and end hunger for more Marylanders.
“Being a good neighbor and caring about the communities we serve is our passion and mission at Point Breeze Credit Union,” said Tonia Niedzialkowski, Point Breeze President and CEO. “Supporting the Maryland Food Bank with this tournament is very important to us, and we are extremely grateful to be able to once again bring our community together to assist those in need.”
