Congressional Federal announces that Mr. Cory Montez Hairston passed away unexpectedly Wednesday August 16th. The entire credit union family mourns this loss. On behalf of its Board of Directors, management team and employees, deepest sympathies are extended to Montez’s family.

Mr. Hairston was a remarkable figure who brought dedication and passion to the organization. The Board of Directors issued the following statement: “We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Montez Hairston. Montez was a steadfast leader and a tireless advocate for transparency. The company’s directors and employees, as well as the many members whose lives he touched, mourn his loss.” Montez has been a member of the CFCU family since June 27, 2005 and will be greatly missed. Montez is survived by his wife, Tamaisha; three daughters, HaDiya (and husband Turvell Wilson), Halle, and HaKneil; and the joy of his heart, his granddaughter Averie.
