SECU MD Foundation Awards 28 College Scholarships
SECU MD Foundation announced their 2023 Scholarship Recipients at an event held trecently at SECU’s headquarters. This year, a record number of applications were received and $116,000 in scholarships was awarded to 28 students who will be attending a trade or technical school, college or university for the Fall 2023 semester for either undergraduate or post-graduate work.
“Since the program’s inception 17 years ago, the SECU MD Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to over 320 SECU members,” remarked Sarah Ryan, AVP of Community Engagement, SECU MD Foundation. “We are so proud to be able to support students as they continue their education and pursue their dreams. It is so important for us to be with our community in key moments and we are absolutely thrilled to give back in this way.”
The SECU MD Foundation recognized this year’s winners at a celebratory event at SECU’s headquarters where they received their scholarship checks, had moments for photo opportunities and enjoyed donuts and coffee.

Applications for the 2024 SECU MD Foundation Scholarship Program will open by February 2024.
