Inaugural “Rocker” Class Attends CONNECT 2023
Inspired by the Cooperative Trust’s “Crash Program,” the MD|DC Credit Union Association is giving Young Professionals the opportunity to build on their career experience by attending its annual convention.
Eight young professionals were selected to “Rock” the convention through scholarships provided by the Association’s regional chapters. The Rockers started their experience Sunday afternoon with a welcome from MD|DC Credit Union Association President/CEO John Bratsakis. Tricia Szurgot, President/CEO of Securityplus FCU, then shared advice about how to get the most out of a convention. The group wrapped up their first day by attending the Foundation’s dueling piano event. Registration for the Rockers was generously sponsored by Howard County Education FCU, NIH FCU, MECU Credit Union and First Financial FCU.
The Rockers will start their day on Monday with a meet & greet with chapter board members to learn more about the role regional chapters play and to thank them for their support. Keep an eye out for the Rockers and be sure to introduce yourself. They’ll be hard to miss in their lime green shirts, generously sponsored by Spectra CU and US Senate FCU.
